Dear parents,
I have just been contacted by the Down and Connor Catholic Schools’ Support Service, who have informed me that St Mary’s Primary School has been awarded the Spirit of Catholic Education Award 2023-24. It is a great privilege to receive this prestigious award for the second year in a row, testament to the hard work from our staff, fantastic support from our parents, our amazing PTA, dedicated governors and the brilliant representation of the Finn shown by all of our pupils.
I would like to also thank our previous principal, Mr. Patrick Hardy for his work in supporting the application for this award. As we look forward to the new year, and the 190th anniversary of education in Aughlisnafin, we are very grateful of this recognition of the excellent education provided in St. Mary's.
