Congratulations to Sam Rice, from Primary 7, who was awarded with a limited edition Lowden guitar at Mona Owen’s concert at the weekend. George Lowden created a special series of guitars for children alongside Ed Sheeran and had offered a guitar to the most promising young guitarist. When he heard the talent on offer he personally appealed to Ed that 3 children should receive guitars and Ed agreed. Sam was joint runner up and received a beautiful guitar, which will set him on his course for his future musical endeavours. The other members of Mona’s guitar club, Michael, Oisin and Daniel received t-shirts and medals. Congratulations Sam and well done Mona for arranging such an incredible event.
