Safer School's NI App

St. Mary’s has registered with the Safer Schools NI App to help parents and carers support young people in relation to child protection and online safety.  The Safer Schools NI App contains contextual safeguarding information, advice and guidance, researched and written by online safeguarding experts. It’s interactive, with engaging content which is easy-to-access, simple to understand and intuitive to use.

They provide contemporary, credible and relevant content and resources for the entire school community. The Safer Schools NI App is updated with the latest news and alerts as-and-when they happen so you’ll also be in the know, in the here and now.  This App is designed to be a one-stop-shop for accessing essential safeguarding information, advice, and guidance. It’s a reference point you can turn to any time, right there on your phone!

To download the Safer School NI app,

  1. Visit your phone or tablets app store and search for Safer Schools NI.
  2. Select your role (Parent/Carer or Pupil)
  3. On the next page choose Register here
  4. Add your name, email address and a password, then agree to the terms of use.
  5. To login in to the school version choose I have received a code and add 2845 as the code for parents or carers. Primary 6/7 pupils may use the code 1723.
  6. Search and select Mary’s Primary School, Aughlisnafin (it is best to search for Aughlisnafin)
  7. You will be registerd for our school’s version of the Safer Schools NI app. Here you can find online safety guidance, the CCEA Wellbeing Hub, information from the Department of Education as well as direct links to our school’s website.
