We celebrated World Book Day in our class by taking part in a number of fun activities related to the world of books, authors and reading for pleasure. Following this years theme, ‘Your’ World Book Day, the children each brought in a book of their choice and discussed different genres, authors and themes.
We also participated in the Live Lesson at 11am through BBC Teach. This allowed the children to identify features and themes and creatively retell some traditional stories. Great imaginations were on display during this and I’m sure there might even be a few children’s authors from this class in the future!
Many thanks to all the boys and girls for dressing up in their costumes or cosy PJs and for bringing such a variety of books (and teddies!!!) into school to enjoy World Book Day 2023!🙂📘📗📕📙🤩👏👏👌😀😎
