At least one child in every classroom has a food allergy and in response to the pressing concerns voiced by parents of children with allergies, Queen's University are hosting an Educational Allergy Workshop at Queen’s University Belfast, specifically tailored for parents, caregivers and children affected by allergic diseases. Parents have expressed concerns regarding the lack of sufficient allergy support in their local area, as well as in educational services and extracurricular activities. The aim is to alleviate these concerns by empowering both children and their families with self management skills to manage their allergies effectively, reducing the risk of allergic reactions by providing them with the knowledge and skills needed.
